District Meeting Minutes For February 15th, 2024
Opened with Serenity Prayer.
Round of introductions.
Secretaries report was given by Cheryl M. Motion was made to accept by Ryan. Seconded by Dave. Motion passed.
Treasurer’s report was given by Cal L.
$712.34
100.00 donated to district by Westside group.
Motion was made to accept by Tom. Seconded by Amanda. Motion passed.
DCM report was given by Vern M. Attended Trusted leadership training. Sharing and passing along information is the main goal. People appear to be afraid of service work. Learn from experience.
No alternate DCM.
Corrections report was given by Ryan M. Nicollet County good attendance with 9 people. Redwood County doing alright. Low attendance. Renville County believed to be doing meetings. No report on Brown County.
CPC report was given by Ron D. Shared he attended RUSC.
Grapevine: Gary was ill.
Public information: Dave B reported he attended 1st zoom committee meeting as public information. Also attended RUSC. Talked about service sponsor. Taking ownership in his recovery. Tom C shared he didn’t believe he could do service work but found you learn as you go.
Technology report was given by Amanda. Website was down again. Smooth sailing now.
Treatment is open. There are some rumors about New Ulm opening back up.
GSR reports:
Ryan reported St. Peter group officially moved to Sunrise Church. Attendance seems to be about the same. 722 Sunrise Drive Door 5. Speaker meeting is the 2nd Thursday. Pin night last Thursday. Food, fun and fellowship.
Ali not present for big book group in St. Peter. Decided to go to another district. Did send flyers for Big Book study at 5th Avenue in Mankato.
New Ulm Westside: Cal shared Wednesday morning 10 am is up and running.
Three legacies: Jared reported they are working on getting a GSR. Meetings are going good. Sunday’s down some. 6 to 8 people on Wednesday.
Redwood Falls: Vern reported going good. Introduced Trevor. He chairs Sunday night meeting with attendance good. Valentine’s activity the 18th.
Morton: Cheryl shared attendance down some. Bird Island started a meeting on Monday nights at 7 pm. Also attended RUSC.
Olivia: Dave reported going good. 10-16 people. Doing Big Book study lately.
Old business was already discussed in other reports.
New business: Founder’s writings. Agenda items needed to bring to home groups. Cal L.
Shared Westside would sponsor district meetings rent free. Three legacies shared they are willing to go back to provide service space to district also rent free. Agreed district meetings will remain at 100 Washington.
